Library Facility

 Open Access

The library follows an open access system for all its users. Under this system, students and faculty members are free to enter the stack area, browse the shelves, and select books of their choice without any restrictions. This approach encourages independent learning, promotes reading habits, and enables users to explore a wide range of resources conveniently. Open access also saves users’ time and helps them become familiar with the library collection.

 Reading Hall

The library has a separate and well-maintained reading hall to support students’ study needs. The reading hall can accommodate around 100 students at a time and provides a quiet, comfortable, and conducive environment for reading, self-study, and reference work. This facility helps students concentrate on their academic activities without disturbance.

 Digital Library

The library has established a well-equipped Digital Library with 10 networked computers to provide easy access to electronic information resources. Users can access various online full-text databases and digital learning platforms such as DELNET, free e-books, OPAC, e-PG Pathshala, e-Shodh Sindhu, NDL, Project Gutenberg and NPTEL online video lectures. This facility supports students and faculty in their academic, teaching, and research activities by offering quick and convenient access to a wide range of digital resources.

 Internet Facility

The library provides internet facility to students and faculty for accessing and downloading information related to their study and research topics. This facility supports online learning, reference work, and academic research by enabling users to explore e-resources, databases, and educational websites efficiently.

 WI-FI Facility

The library premises are equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity to provide seamless internet access to students and faculty. This facility enables users to access online academic resources, e-books, e-journals, and educational platforms using their personal devices, thereby supporting flexible and uninterrupted learning within the library.

 Reprographic, Scanning

The library provides reprographic (photocopying) and document scanning facilities to users as per their requirements. These services help students and faculty to obtain copies of important study materials and digitize documents for academic and research purposes in a convenient manner.

 OPAC Facility

The library offers Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) facility to the college user community. This facility provides users with first-hand information about the availability, status, and location of library resources. OPAC enables users to search the library collection quickly and efficiently, saving time and enhancing access to reading materials.
