The Institute of Business Management & Research (IBMR) was established in 1984 by the Institute of Science, Poona to meet the growing needs of management education and training. The institute, being recognized by the University of Pune not only provides Post Graduation instruction for carious management courses of the University, but also provides research guidance in the field of managerial areas. Within the last 33 years about 4,500 Students have been passed out with Master’s Degree and Post Graduate Diploma in the field of Management. Most of them are placed and are holding the high ranking administrative positions in different corporate bodies, leading business organizations as well as being entrepreneur having their own industries.

Founder Director
The Institute of Science, Poona was established in 1956 to propagate scientific attitude amongst the younger generation of our society by Late Shri. Nilkanth Chintaman Joshi alias N.C.Joshi (M.Sc., M.A.) well known educationist, who has spent his entire life in the field of education. He was closely associated with the Pune University for last more than five decades . He was dean of the science faculty, member of senate, and member of academic council for a long time. He has shared his knowledge and administrative skills by giving consultation in the field of education and number of institute and NGO’s have benefited from his guidance. He has also given guidance to start educational institutes in rural area of Maharashtra.
He was a Freedom Fighter of “ Dadra -Nagar Haveli Mukti Sangram ”. Apart from his academic activities he was also very much interested in various games specially “ Kabaddi ”. He visited SEOL Olympic Games as a official member of Indian contingent.
Higher education plays a vital role in the development of any nation. Finding and recognizing new needs and satisfying them with products and services of international standards . Institute of Science is inspired by the benchmarks set forth by its visionary founder Shri. N. C. Joshi, along with Mrs. Mandakini Joshi.

Welcome to Institute of Business Management & Research i.e. I.B.M.R. – Wakad, Pune.
In the wake of free market economy accepted by our county, it is of paramount importance for us to be absolutely competitive in all spheres of trade and commerce. This new era of economic liberalization and globalization calls for comprehensive management education, which we at IBMR, Wakad Pune are humbly performing.
Our emphasis has been on imparting core knowledge on management ethics, equipping basic skills in personality development required to instill adequate confidence and finally to help the students in career planning involving self evaluation with specific reference to individual strengths, preferences and personal traits. We are quite satisfied with the progress made by them and would like to classify them as aspiring and career conscious students with a broad vision and a desire to prove their abilities.
At we have a highly experienced and committed team of faculty members which not only teach but also give practical exposure to the students by using innovative pedagogy so that our student can get good placements and also involves in the students’ activities and imparting them the required knowledge and skills through recurrent practical sessions, industry visits and guest lectures, seminars, workshops and symposia. The students’ progress is assured with faculty members’ active involvement in various projects and events in this Institute.
