The Institute Library is a central support system for academic and research activities. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and fully automated through the Delplus Library Management Software, the library provides an excellent learning environment. It offers a rich collection of print and digital resources, spacious reading facilities, and easy access to information, contributing significantly to academic excellence.
The Institute Library uses the Delplus Integrated Library Management System (ILMS) for efficient and systematic management of library operations. The software supports all core in-house functions, including Acquisition, Cataloguing, Circulation, Serial Control, and Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). This automation ensures smooth functioning, accurate record management, and enhanced user experience.
The library houses a well-developed collection of 13,884 volumes covering a wide range of academic subjects. Students are allowed to borrow two books at a time for a period of one week, ensuring fair and effective circulation of resources. Faculty and students regularly use the library for teaching, learning, research, assignments, and internship projects. The library is also widely used for reading newspapers and referring to journals.
The library subscribes to 12 print journals, supporting research and academic development across various disciplines.
In addition to print resources, the library provides access to a wide range of electronic resources. These include National Digital Library (NDL), DELNET Database, Shodhganga, and e-PG Pathshala. These digital resources enable users to access scholarly information quickly and efficiently, both for academic and research purposes.
The library subscribes to five regional and national daily newspapers, helping users stay informed about current affairs and developments.
The library has a spacious reading room with seating capacity for 100 students, offering a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere for reading and self-study.
The library ensures easy access to electronic resources both on-campus and remotely, allowing students and faculty to access learning materials anytime and from anywhere, thus supporting continuous learning and research
To promote reading habits and active participation, the library regularly displays new arrivals and organizes activities such as Book Exhibitions and the Best Reader Award. These initiatives encourage students to develop reading interests, leadership skills, and management abilities.
