Avishkar
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
- To inculcate research culture among students.

- To provide an opportunity for expression of academic talent.
- To promote interaction among academia, R & D Institutes and Industries.
AVISHKAR is initiated by His Excellency, Governor of Maharashtra, Shri. S.M. Krishna in 2006. It’s a Research Competition among all Universities of Maharashtra. This is a Special effort towards the participation of the talented students from rural and urban areas in such a Research Competition.
Savitribai Phule Pune University takes special efforts to increase the participation of the talented students from rural and urban areas. Special efforts are taken to organize Regional competitions, organize, special training to these students and provide them necessary help and guidance to enhance their abilities to present their work in an effective manner. This activity has generated a lot of enthusiasm amongst students and the participation is ever increasing.
Many of IBMR students have participated in Avishkar Research Poster Competition held at Savitribai Phule Pune University for Avishkar 2016.
Project Presentation
A student’s presentation in the classroom becomes an important element in delivering positive learning experiences. Presentation skills are important to both individual success and business success.
Presenting information clearly and effectively is a key skill to get their message or opinion across and, today, presentation skills are required in almost every field. There are many situations where good presentation and public speaking skills can help the students advance their career and create opportunities.
For developing such skills in students Institute conducts Project Presentation Programmes and also guides the students how to prepare a good presentation and deliver presentations.
Value Added Programs
Soft skills and communication programme:
Soft skills are important job-related skills that involve little or no interaction with machines and whose application on the job is quite generalized. Soft skills are a combination of interpersonal people skills, social skills, communication skills, character traits, attitudes, career attributes. For developing such skills in students Institute conducts various soft skills and communication programme by inviting people from industries to guide our students
Aptitude test:
Aptitude test is needed for choosing a career, Placement Purpose, Improving academics. Every career option requires a particular aptitude combination that should match with the individual’s potential ability to grow with that career. To help the students to find the right career path Institute takes regularly aptitude tests.
Extempore
Extempore speech is something which is spoken without any prior preparation or rather delivered on the spot. Such extempore programs are taken in the IBMR. It helps the students to gain confidence, stage presence, construction, arguments. It also helps to understand various techniques for getting around the time paucity, like framing one point and then moving to another.
